Q. We like you so much! Can you stay longer than our contracted time?
A. Thanks, and we like you too! If the party is rocking, and you hate to call it quits, then of course we can stay! We can continue playing for a charge of $50 per hour.
Q. Can Carolina DJ Services perform at events outside of Hartsville?
A. Why yes we can! We love road trips! However, we charge $.50 per mile outside of the 29550 ZIP code.
Q. Can Carolina DJ accomodate events other than weddings?
A. Sure! Just let us know when and where! We love Engagement Parties, Birthdays, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Retirements, Reunions, Corporate and Charity Events, Christmas Parties, New Years and other Holiday Parties, and more! Please email us directly for pricing and arrangements!
Q. When do I pay you and what's the deal with the deposit?
A. A deposit of $100.00 will be required to hold your rate and date. The deposit will be deducted from the total cost of the event. We will discuss the contract and get signatures upon attaining the deposit. Once we receive tht deposit and signed contract, then your date will be booked.
Q. What is your cancellation policy?
A. If you cancel, only the deposit will be forfeited. If you have pre-paid for your event, you will be refunded the amount of payments made, minus your deposit. If you must cancel less than 15 days prior to the event, then the total cost will be due.
Q. Do you take requests, and will you play our favorite songs?
A. Of course! We will try to accomodate as many requests as possible. With almost 40,000 songs immediately available in our library, we can play almost any popular or semi-popular song almost immediately. We have no DJ egos to protect, so ask away! Plus, feel free to bring your own CD's, MP3's, MP4's, or flash drives. We can also use our online music request system to download music before AND during your event. (We even provide our own internet during your event using the Verizon network)

A. Rest assured. Carolina DJ Services is a professional DJ service, offering the best pricing around to meet your budget. We bring almost 40,000 songs to every event no matter how small, and we have the ability to get almost any song that you want to hear.
Q. What can you expect from Carolina DJ?
A. We have found a niche catering to hip couples. We've gained a following by those seeking a non-cheesy, no sparkly vests, inflatable guitar-less reception. However, we have been known to amp things up for our rowdier crowds. The details are up to you, and we're here to make it happen without any pretension. We are normal, reliable, and friendly people... which is how we have found success in this industry.
Q. Do I have to feed you?
A. We love being fed! However, it is completely up to your discretion whether or not you decide to feed your DJ staff and other vendors. A meal is truly appreciated as your DJ often works hours at the time with little time for breaks. Tip: A service menu is often available at your venue as a scaled down, less expensive version designated for your DJ.
Q. How far in advance do I have to book you?
A. Since Carolina DJ Services offers great rates, we tend to book up quickly. We recommend that you contact us several weeks to several months in advance to get first dibs on availabitlity for your event. The sooner, the better!
Q. What is the point of a 2nd DJ?
A. A second DJ may be included to help coordinate microphone usage, audience participation, and taking requests.
Q. Sounds fabulous! How can I contact Carolina DJ Services?
A. Click on our email link on our home page and send us the details of your event. Jason or Brandon will get back to you as soon as possible to provide you with a confirmed rate quote. We may need to meet with you (especially wedding clients) before your event to go over your music needs, talk about our different packages, and help you decide if Carolina DJ Services is right for you. To finalize the booking, we require a $100 deposit, and a signed service agreement.
Q. My event is upstairs/at another venue/outside. Can you DJ here too?
A. We would be more than happy to! If your event is split between two venues, such as a wedding and reception, we charge a $150 extra fee to cover moving equipment, and sound checks at the second location. If the event is upstairs or in a very out of the way locale, then an extra $50 charge may be incurred. If the event is outside, our on-duty DJ will prepare for good weather only, and it is up to the customer to provide shelter for inclement weather.
